Roses, Woolwich
Tucked away on a corner of Hare Street in Woolwich you will find Roses pub - one of South East London's hidden gems and a great stop-off for the discerning ale drinker. For the past three years the pub has been run by Sharon Boucher (who hails from jersey, hence the French-sounding surname) and her friendly team.

The management describe the pub as being 'unpretentious, friendly and relaxed' which seems to hit the nail on the head. The atmosphere is very laid back and good-humoured and the regulars are very friendly...

Revell Ward
Nestling in an unassuming shopfront on the corner of Beresford Square and Plumstead Road you will find Revel Ward,who have been doing business in these premises since 1974. Today their speciality is hi-fi, computing and electronic accessories but manager Ghulam Mustafa describes them as a 'jack of all trades'. Back in the day they were specialists in hi-fi retail and repair.Following the technological curve, they introduced a media transfer service which they still run today from their own backroom studio, converting from any media format you like. Their work on digitising archive footage has ended up on Channel 4 and in the Imperial Museum and they even have a technical credit on the film Dream Street...
